Available Courses

  • The two modules in this course, "A Good Diet" and "Malnutrition and its Causes", introduce the subject of nutrition at a basic level for people involved in primary education: teachers, school heads, curriculum developers, school garden managers, school meals organisers, cooks and interested parents. Nutritionists too may find them useful as a check on current concepts of nutrition. The two modules can be used on a stand-alone basis, but they are also the introductory modules of "Nutrition Education in Primary Schools: A Planning Guide for Curriculum Development", which aims to carry the FAO concept of effective nutrition education into the primary school curriculum.
  • You watch the first episodes of ten famous situation comedies (e.g. Friends, Desperate Housewives), work on comprehension and language and discuss your reactions. This course is a lot of work but good fun. If you complete it satisfactorily it contributes to your mark in the final listening comprehension exam, so if you are worried about the test it can help a lot.
